Honorary Consul David Grabovac
Dr. David Grabovac, KSS, MStJ, was appointed the Honorary Consul of the Bahamas to Australia in March 2016. His nomination by the Bahamian Government received approval from the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, as well as the Premiers and Chief Ministers of all six Australian states and two federal territories.
Honorary Consul Grabovac holds a Doctorate of Education from UCAM Catholic University of Murcia (Spain), a Master of Leadership and Management in Education from the University of Newcastle, and a Bachelor of Arts (Media Communications) from Southern Cross University. He has undertaken global diplomacy training with the University of London and was elected a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs in 2013.
David currently serves as Executive Director of a private investment company with business interests in financial services. David has previously worked as a policy adviser to the Australian Minister for Education, Science, and Training and in the senior management of several private colleges. He is a visiting professor at St. Paul University Philippines, where he teaches the Internationalisation of Education unit to doctoral students.
He serves on the advisory board of the Chance Foundation in the Bahamas and is a trustee of the Grabovac Foundation, which awards scholarships. Additionally, David is an adviser to the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums and an ambassador of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, the global leader in youth development through non-formal education. He has also worked with the Catholic Church and its organizations to provide humanitarian relief services in war zones.
David has been awarded the Red Cross of Merit for his services to the Red Cross and humanity. The College de Paris has conferred upon him an honorary doctorate in recognition of his significant contributions to society. He was created a Knight of the Pontifical Order of St. Sylvester (KSS) by decree of Pope Francis at the Vatican City and a Member of the Most Venerable Order of St. John (MStJ) by King Charles III of the United Kingdom. Additionally, he has received numerous other honours and decorations from various Royal Houses and institutions.

Coat of Arms granted to Honorary Consul Grabovac by the Lord Lyon in the name of Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth was the monarch of Australia and the Bahamas from 1952 to 2022.The blue shield is representative of the Pacific Ocean (East coast of Australia) and the Caribbean Sea (The Bahamas).
